Mutinta Mwanza is a Zambian singer born in 1988.Her music is an eclectic mix of harmonious Afro-pop,Soul, Jazz and Reggae.Mutinta developed her interest in singing after being selected to sing in a talent show when she was much younger. However, despite her passion for music and her obvious talent, Mutinta only began seriously pursuing life as a professional singer in 2009 after she was discovered and encouraged by Vatice Mushauko(of Inzy).Since then, she has been producing fresh and inspiring sounds that capture people from all walks of life.
Mutinta is an accomplished singer with excellent vocal skills and stays true to her African roots in her music and videos. Notable solo releases by Mutinta include "Chungwa","little Bird" and "State of Affairs".She has collaborated with renouned African music legend Oliver Mtukudzi, as well as South African soul singer Mxo on the song "Nibani".Other sublime songs include "Ambuye Betty",a tribute to the late Betty Kaunda,"Waiting" and "Free".
In 2011,Mutinta won "Best Female Artist" and "Best Zed Song" at the 5th ZNBC "Born and Bred" Awards Ceremony. The Business & Management graduate is very enterprising. She models and landed herself a role as the face of ZAMTEL,one of Zambia’s leading telecommunications companies.Mutinta is Zambian diva destined to reach greater heights in her musical career.
